Yes! We are lucky at Redland Green Club to have lots of indoor and outdoor space, as well as freshly cleaned non-slip courts. As long as it’s safe, we play!
Our sessions are grouped by age and ball colour. Your child will start in a squad appropriate to their age or experience. However, we understand that each child progresses differently, so assess the development and ability of each individual child. When they are ready and confident, we will move them up to the next stage.
- Age 5-7 Red Ball – A great way for kids to start out in tennis, played on smaller courts with shorter racquets and softer balls.
- Age 8-9 Orange Ball – Played on slightly larger courts than red ball, with bigger racquets and balls that are not as soft. We continue to work on all the different shots, providing fun competition and gameplay.
- Age 9+ Green Ball – The next stage to go through, before playing with a full compression yellow ball, on a full-sized court, and helps players work on and improve all aspects of their game
Yes if they have one, otherwise we have lots of spare racquets.
Please ensure your child wears trainers or sports shoes & comfortable clothes that they can run around in. Please bring a hat/cap if sunny, a waterproof jacket if raining and a water bottle.
