What a fantastic showing from Dave Allman and Ann Manley at the World Squash Masters Championships in Perth! 👏
💪 Dave Allman – O35s
Dave reached the semi-final, where he was beaten by Josh Larkin, who went on to become the eventual champion. A fantastic run and a brilliant achievement on the world stage.

An incredible performance from Ann, who won the O80s round-robin without losing a single set! Extending her Record to 7 World Masters Championships! outstanding achievement! 👏🔥
A huge congratulations to both Dave and Ann — fantastic performances 💚
A small squad, but our special forces!
Avon junior players enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Karakal Welsh Junior Open 2026 between 4th and 6th September Squash Wales – Sboncen Cymru, with a strong Avon contingent making the trip to Cardiff to compete against players from across the UK and overseas.
The standout result came from Holly Thompson from Redland Green Club, who produced an excellent series of performances to claim the Girls U11 title. Holly showed great determination in a particularly competitive four-game match, holding her nerve to win 11–9, 11–9, 7–11, 12–10 before going on to secure the title.
In the Girls U13, Abigail Zeng from Redland Green Club also had an impressive tournament, finishing 4th overall. Competing in a strong international draw, Abigail reached the top four and tested Ireland’s leading GU13 player in a tough 3rd/4th-place match.
It was also great to see many Avon juniors taking part in the Welsh Junior Open this year. With Cardiff within relatively easy travelling distance, the tournament provides an excellent opportunity for our players to experience high-quality competition beyond the English circuit.
The event continues to grow internationally, with players travelling from countries including USA, France, Ireland, Malta and Spain this year.
Congratulations to Holly, Abigail and all our Avon juniors who competed — a great weekend of squash and a fantastic representation of Avon junior squash!
